Rev. Francisco (Frank) Hernandez is an extraordinary individual who has dedicated his life to serving others. Born in the vibrant city of El Paso, TX in 1984, he grew up in the heart of the community. It was within the walls of his parish, Our Lady of the Light on Delta St, where he first heard the divine call to priesthood at the tender age of 10.

Rev. Hernandez’s educational journey began at Clardy Elementary, followed by Henderson Middle School, and culminated at Thomas Jefferson High School, where he graduated with honors in 2003. Eager to continue his pursuit of knowledge, he enrolled at the prestigious University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in the fall of 2003. After six years of diligent study, he proudly obtained his B.A. in Philosophy in 2009.

Driven by his unwavering faith and desire to serve God, Rev. Hernandez embarked on his seminary journey in the fall of 2010 at St. Charles Seminary in El Paso, TX. His dedication and commitment were recognized, and he was accepted into Assumption Seminary in San Antonio, TX in the spring of 2011. Seeking further spiritual growth, he transferred to St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston, TX, where he completed his theological studies in 2016.

The culmination of Rev. Hernandez’s journey came on May 27, 2016, when he was ordained as a priest at St. Patrick’s Cathedral by the esteemed Bishop Mark Seitz. This sacred moment marked the beginning of his lifelong mission to spread love, compassion, and faith to those in need.

Throughout his priesthood, Rev. Hernandez has been entrusted with various pastoral assignments, each allowing him to touch the lives of countless individuals. From 2016 to 2018, he served as an Assistant Priest at St. Pius X and San Juan Bautista, both located in the central part of El Paso. In 2018, he brought his unwavering dedication to the eastside of El Paso as an Assistant Priest at St. Mark. In 2019, he assumed the role of Administrator at Santo Niño de Atocha, continuing to guide and inspire the faithful in the heart of the city.

In September 2020, Rev. Hernandez’s journey took him to new horizons as he became the Administrator of Our Lady of Fatima in Van Horn, TX, and Our Lady of Miracles in Sierra Blanca, TX. Embracing the challenges and joys that come with this new responsibility, he continues to lead his congregation with grace and humility.

Rev. Francisco (Frank) Hernandez is a beacon of light in his community, his unwavering dedication and sincere compassion touching the hearts of all those fortunate enough to cross his path. Through his vocation, he embodies the essence of faith, love, and selflessness, inspiring others to walk the path of righteousness.
